Perhaps we have seen here an issue of trust. What country would the world trust the lives of Laura Ling and Euna Lee with? The answer, as we have seen, is the United States of America. That's why my answer here fell to the United States.

Humanity has achieved a great victory.
Despite the difficulties of powers among themselves, the human well-being is important.

US Citizens walking along borders and entering "by mistake" into countries that are enemies of ther USA should not be bailed out by the USA. They are nothing but thrill seekers wanting publicity. For a former president to have to ask any favor of N. Korea weakens the USA relations with this rogue state and gives legitimacy to a corrupt dictator. Other American citizens have now done the same thing and entered Iran"by mistake ". What kind of fool goes hiking along the Iran – Iraq border?

It is unbelievable how tiny the price for a life is. It's been outrageous to witness the heinous political game of North Korea. I am glad the two women managed to turn back home; I am furious, for freedom is our natural right, and it is disgusting to observe our incapacity to act in front of a bunch of stupid men who take that right away from us. I am furious, for few people truly understand what life really means.
