Time Magazine, which is owned by CNN's parent company, Time Warner, recently released their annual poll results for 'Most Influential Person' in the world. Could it be the person pictured above? Some other world leader? A religious figure? Maybe even an artist or an athlete? This is less than scientific, of course, and the results will both affirm that...and surprise you. The article can be found here:,8599,1894028,00.html?iid=perma_share

This prompted us to wonder...who is the most influential person in your life? Or if you prefer to make a broader response: Who do you think is the most influential person in the world? Let us know!

It is obvious Barack Obama is the most Influential person in the world. A year ago the world was depressed, everyone was fighting everyone and there was no sign that recovery and peace would come in the foreseeable future. Now the situation in fact may be even worse then a year ago but there is a difference. Everyone knows it's gonna be ok in a while. We all know there are still tough times ahead, but everyone believes in the future. The leader of the world makes it clear that he wants peace and justice. He kept more promises in a hundred days then other presidents did in eight years. He makes the world feel that no matter what happenes, at the end they will be okay, there will be peace and the crisis will be dealt with. He makes people feel great about themselves and makes them believe in their future again. Barack Obama is definately the most Influential person the world. Give me a girl like that and i'll marry her right away!

Most influential person: perhaps it is that dubious doctor in Sri Lanka's war zone! The moment he says something, the international media pick it up without regard to its veracity!
