Majority of us will certainly call themselves as environmentally conscious but knowing all that we still do things which comfort us rather than what is good for the environment.....we waste more and keep our computers, lights, and TV powered-on most of the time and not to mention our oil guzzling SUVs, who can live without them......

In short, nobody wants to live without all that guilty pleasure knowing "ignorance is bliss" especially if something really bothers our adored way of living……

Lets say it this way...voted No because I know I am far away from considering myself environmentally conscious.

There is always something what can be improved. I am trying to do my best, like recycling, taking bus, turn off lights when I don´t need them.

But on the other side, I honestly confess that I am using car always when I can and am too lazy, my laptop is almost all day on and also CNN on my TV makes background most of the day.

I realize I could do more and feel guilty about that.

Americans are polluting the environment more than any other nation, they must admit it. They have an enormous job to do, about environment, just look at the European Union, and Japan, they are working on climate isssue for decades.

There's always room for improvement but if we want to do our bit in order to be environment conscious, little things can help like turning the tap water off while brushing teeth. Do we know that as small an act as this may lower food prices? Which is a very basic issue of less- and under-developed countries!

In Bangladesh there is no recycling for plastic, glasses or most of the waste products. Because most of the people are unaware about it. Most of the people in our country live from hand to mouth. They do not have enough food or enough cloth to have with let alone environmental problems. Our government and social workers trying to make people environment conscious but that is not enough. But there is no recycling activities in case of plastics or glasses which could have save a big amount of money. Our government is trying but very slowly. They have to work with other problems too. Their first priority should be to get out from the effects of global warming. Our government is doing nothing satisfactory in case of this. Actually in our country there are so many problems like Population, political instability, corruption, terrorism and many other problems. So, the government has to fight against these problems. As a result, they have almost forgotten about the environment. But they are trying. I know we are going to suffer for this in future.
